Location
The Baltic-Hotel on the lime tree avenue is, as the name suggests, on the most beautiful avenue of lime trees (anno 1854) in Germany (natural monument) Bad Doberan - Heiligendamm.
The steam-powered narrow-gauge railway Molli (cultural monument) runs past the historic Lindenallee/Dammchausee (natural monument) Bad Doberan - Heiligendamm - to the west of the Ostseepension within sight - to Heiligendamm (the oldest German seaside resort) and then on to Kühlungsborn (the largest German Baltic Sea resort).
The cycle path to the Baltic Sea Bad Doberan - Heiligendamm also leads along the Dammchaussee along the oldest horse racing track on our continent (1 km) to the oldest German seaside resort Heiligendamm (3 km - natural beach with flat and steep coast without mass tourism). To the north of the Hotel-Pension lies the landscape conservation area “Conventer Niederung” with the lake of the same name (nature reserve, especially bird breeding and resting area), which can be reached and explored in just a few minutes on a relaxing hike or bike ride through the adjacent mixed forest “Großer Wohld” with Bronze Age burial mounds and an iron spring (Baltic Sea cycling holiday, Baltic Sea nature holiday).
A beautiful hike in the Grosser Wohld is of course also worthwhile if you want to go on a little treasure hunt with the popular geocaching. This brings fun, exercise in the fresh forest air, new impressions and thus also health and relaxation from everyday life. If you want more of this, you can experience this on a quiet Baltic Sea nature holiday with more intensive enjoyment of nature. South of the Baltic Sea Hotel-Pension with its avenue of redwood trees, you can easily get to the highlight of brick Gothic in Mecklenburg - the Doberan Minster (5 minutes by bike) and the city center with the classicist spa architecture (also in Heiligendamm) on the bike path. This means that you can visit the most beautiful and interesting sights of Bad Doberan - Heiligendamm in the immediate vicinity on and from the Ostsee Hotel-Pension.
In front of the Ostsee Hotel~Pension property is the Bad Doberan Ausbau stop of the regional bus line 121. This runs from Rostock Central Bus Station (ZOB) via Bad Doberan - Heiligendamm - Kühlungsborn - Rerik and back.
Getting there
The Baltic Sea Hotel-Pension "An der Lindenallee" is located on the outskirts of Bad Doberan on Dammchaussee (a landmark historic linden tree avenue – a natural monument) at the end of the "Ehm Welk" residential area in the direction of Heiligendamm and Kühlungsborn.
The Hotel-Pension has an entrance between the trees of the linden avenue leading to the courtyard parking lot (from there, walk through).
• Arrival from the south: via the A20 - Bad Doberan exit, then L13 towards Bad Doberan for approximately 18 km (20 min. by car), from there to Dammchaussee (Lindenallee) towards Heiligendamm - Kühlungsborn, approximately 1 km, or via the L12 (perimeter road).
• Arrival from the east: (A19, Rostock Süd exit, approximately 22 km = 30 min. by car) and west via the B105 to Bad Doberan, then onto Dammchaussee (Lindenallee) towards the Baltic Sea resorts of Heiligendamm - Kühlungsborn, approximately 1 km, at the edge of town, or via the L12 (perimeter road) - then follow the signs for Dammchaussee.

Trains run hourly from Rostock Central Station and Wismar to Bad Doberan. Buses also depart frequently from the central bus station (ZOB) on the south side of Rostock Central Station to Bad Doberan, Heiligendamm, Kühlungsborn, and Rerik. A bus stop (Bad Doberan Ausbau - with request stop) is located directly in front of our property, allowing you to easily reach interesting destinations in the surrounding area or the Baltic Sea beach directly from the Hotel-pension using regional bus line 121.
